Product description:
Each gram of Epiderm contains: Betamethasone Dipropionate USP 0.643mg, Gentamicin Sulphate BP equivalent to Gentamicin base 1mg, Tolnaftate USP 10mg, Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline 10mg, Chlorocresol BP (Preservative) 1mg. Betamethasone, being anti- inflammatory, acts by the induction of phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, which control inflammation. Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside that acts on the protein membrane of the bacterial cell membrane and thus disrupts the bacterial cell membrane. Tolnaftate is an antifungal which inhibits growth of dermatophytes. Iodochlorhydroxyquinoline has antibacterial and antifungal activity.

Epiderm Cream is indicated for the treatment of following: Mixed bacterial and fungal infections, Tinea Infections of the skin (Ringworm), Otitis externa, Seborrhoeic dermatitis, Contact dermatitis, Eczemas, Psoriasis, Athlete’s foot, Anal & vulval pruritis.

Indications:

Apply daily on freshly cleansed skin. For best results, apply twice daily – morning and night. 


Dosage:

Apply 2-3 times of Epiderm Cream a day to the affected area or as directed by physician.


Side Effects:
Prolonged, continuous treatment may cause atrophy skin changes leading to: thinning, loss of elasticity, dilatation of superficial blood vessels, telangiectasiae and ecchymoses. Systemic absorption of corticosteroid can cause hypothalamicpituitary- adrenal axis suppression, manifestation of Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycaemia and glucosuria.
